Dear parents and prospective students, ‘Technopreneurship' (a process of engineering the future of a person) and ‘Entrepreneurship' skills are the real source of power in today's knowledge-based economy. Traditional University programs, however, lack the teaching methods to mould today's students into creative, innovative, visionary global leaders. Therefore, it becomes very important to design an 'interdisciplinary curriculum' with an optimal blend of knowledge and professional skills before we transform this to the young minds and build a sustainable society. I want to argue that an integrated curriculum is important for at least three reasons: First, it makes the students to inculcate human values second, it imbibes true professionalism among students and third, it provides them a path to have faith in themselves.
Aiming at the ‘Structuring of Knowledge', based on industry-academia collaborations, Biyani's takes the initiative in promoting structural reforms of wide academic areas and helping students to define and shape their career and let them realize their goals in an increasingly competitive world. Being a medical-scientist and bio-engineer, I set this as my target in this institute to educate and train future generations of scientists, engineers and technologists through developing collaboration agreements with leading universities and the private sector around the world. Via our recently developed prestigious relationship with the Saitama University in Japan and on-going agreements with University of Tokyo and University of Manchester, Biyani's has set itself very high goals and aims to become one of the fastest and leading academic institutions in India. Our students and faculty will be critical to the achievement of this objective. Specially designed co-curricular activities including subjectseminar, expert lectures, technical contests, industrial and research laboratory visits in each department provides our students practical training and placement guidelines.
